An Immersive Encounter.'
Taking drugs in real life could be very dangerous, both physically as mentally. It could lead to addiction and cause other unwanted effects on the user. This 360° animation creates an experience that resembles an LSD trip as closely as possible without promoting nor disapproving it. Without VR the user would be far more detached from the experience. VR has the ability to influence the user's senses and occupies the whole view of the participant. It is less likely that the user will be distracted by something else compared to other media types, so when the user sees hallucinations on the VR-headset the experience is more realistic.

Psychosis is an interesting subject because the person experiencing this has a different view on reality, which has an influence on perceiving, thinking and emotions. Therefore, someone with psychosis may not realise these hallucinations and/or delusions are occurring. This VR-experience simulates the disorganised thoughts that psychotic patients could have, by overloading the player with stimuli, visually and/or auditory, making it hard to actually concentrate.

Discrimination is a common issue in our society. People can experience discrimination for many reasons, but when it comes to communicating about it, you become only a mere spectator unless you have experienced it yourself. The value added by VR is that the experience brings this feeling closer to the viewers allowing them to have an immersive interaction with the subject. It provides an effective environment that might help to trigger a deeper emotional response which can create a stronger and more profound dialogue between the viewer and the object of the experience itself.

By participating in a VR, you experience it more realistically than if you were to see a 2D or 3D image. The participant is, as it were, drawn into the situation and experiences a war situation, without being in a dangerous environment. By standing in the different scenes, the participant can better experience the tension, chaos and time pressure. For the participant it will feel as if a life really depends on the CPR, so the time pressure will be better experienced.
