What do we do?
Stadskracht offers three types of research and services:
Social impact evaluations and effect measurements
What impact have you, as a government or organization, truly achieved with your social intervention? How does your effort contribute to broader societal goals, and which measurable indicators are relevant? Using scientifically proven methodologies, such as realistic evaluation, we answer these questions together. We guide you in defining a program theory, collecting and processing useful data, developing customized training programs, and facilitating organizational reflection. Visit our projects page for examples of projects such as the impact evaluation of the Digibanken or building expertise in impact-oriented work for the city of Sint-Niklaas.
Reaching and involving all citizens
How can you, as a local government and service provider, effectively reach and involve all citizens? How can you develop an inclusive offering that meets the diverse needs of the target group? Our research group has extensive expertise in various participation techniques and methods for conducting representative surveys. Attention is also paid to involving so-called "hard-to-reach" citizens. An example of this is the Age-friendly Cities researchproject, in which we investigate the experiences and needs of older adults in Hoboken and Borgerhout. Together with older adults and local policymakers, we co-create a more age-friendly living environment.
Supporting social entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations
Are you, as a social organization, actively developing innovative methods and practices, but are you facing specific challenges for which you haven't yet found a suitable solution? As a knowledge partner, we are here to facilitate and guide creative and effective approaches. We can also support the development of new methods and the dissemination and scaling up of proven effective practices. For example, we collaborated with Sering, Kuzo, and Ligo Antwerp to develop the innovative "Repeteren Om te Leren" (Rehearsing to Learn) methodology, aimed at integrating theatre and acting methods into Dutch as a Second Language (NT2) lessons at levels 1.1 and 1.2.
