Hilde Maelstaf is a lecturer at the Artesis Plantijn Hogeschool Antwerp, social work, and has been associated since 1995, with educational specialisation in: research methods for Bachelor's students and practical research in the social working environment and general sociology and sociology for social work. 

Marjan Halsberghe (°1983) graduated as a primary school teacher at the University College of Antwerp in 2006. For her bachelor thesis 'Girls and the Right to Education’, she travelled to Arusha in Tanzania for 3 months. After several years of teaching experience in Antwerp primary education (equal opportunities teacher and class teacher International School) and secondary education (e. g.

Dries Claessens (°1977) studied social work and sociology. Since 2004 he has been working as a lecturer Social Work at the Artesis Plantijn University College in Antwerp. There he teaches a variety of human and social science subjects such as ‘methodology', 'politics and social policy' and 'historical & current perspectives for social workers'.

He has previously conducted practice-based research on activation practices in Flanders and on the situation of older prisoners inside and outside the prison system. He is author of the book ‘A History of Social Work’ (EPO, 2017).

Hiram Bollaert is a lecturer and a researcher at the AP University College Antwerp. He obtained a Master degree in mathematics from the University of Antwerp. After having taught mathematics, statistics, and computer literacy at various colleges for several years, he moved on to the university college as a statistics and operations research lecturer for professional bachelors and international Erasmus students. There he discovered the capabilities of virtual learning environments using systems as Blackboard and Moodle and started creating adaptive e-courses.
