Bart Hofman (°1976) obtained his Licentiate in Psychological and Educational Sciences, option Social Educational Care Work in 2002 at Ghent University. He then started his career as a teacher, mainly in primary and special needs education.
Since 2006, he has been working as a lecturer in the Bachelor of Social Educational Care Work at AP University of Applied Sciences and Arts Antwerp. For many years, he has been teaching courses in Disability studies and supporting students in reflective learning. He is also one of the driving forces behind the course Care, Media & Technology. In recent years, his teaching activities have focused primarily on research and developing international student exchange programmes.
