Jan Fabre teaching group masterclass

Jan Fabre Teaching Group organises masterclass in collaboration with the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp

Throughout his career Jan Fabre created a unique and effective set of 'guidelines', to prepare his performers for the stage and which constitute the foundation of his theatre work. Four of his most experienced performers, who have been working close to Jan Fabre in many projects, are now specifically trained to pass on this method: Cédric Charron, Annabelle Chambon, Ivana Jozic and Kasper Vandenberghe.

In this workshop the body becomes an instrument that is meticulasely prepared for stage. Throug a series of physical excercises the performer learns how to make the brigde from act to acting. The imagination of the perfomer is sharpened and used as the main motor to achieve physical transformation. The workshop aims to improve the physical consciousness and mental concentration of the performer, expanding his expressive power on stage.
Workshops and masterclasses are open to dancers, actors, performers, young makers and theatre students.
